Our Gold Nugget days Celebration (going since 1959) is now followed, just a few scant weeks later, by the our annual Chocolate Festival (started 2006).  Both celebrations were enjoyed by those who live on the ridge and many wonderful visitors. 

The Chocolate Festival was begun last year - born of an idea from a local Chocolatier, Bill Hartley of Joy Lynn’s - and is a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club.  Last year the festival, which always includes a Chocolate Queen Contest, raised over $75,000 dollars.
